1. What is styrofoam?

Styrofoam, the full name of one-component polyurethane vinegar foam caulk, also known as foaming agent, PU caulk, etc., is a one-component moisture-curing, multi-purpose polyurethane vinegar foaming material. Its main components are black material, white material composed of polyurethane vinegar prepolymer dimethyl ether and propylene butane, when the material is sprayed out of the aerosol can, the polyurethane vinegar prepolymer will expand rapidly and solidify with the moisture in the air or environment to form foam.
Second, the specification classification of styrofoam

1. Pistol

It is necessary to use a special foaming glue gun for gluing, which has a higher pressure, larger foaming volume and more delicate bubble holes than the tubular type.

2. Tubular type

The equipped disposable pipe is used for gluing, which is convenient for construction and suitable for places where the amount of household plugging and leakage prevention is not large
3. Advantages of styrofoam

1. Low cost

2. Easy to use and easy to use

3. Excellent waterproof performance

4. It is not suitable for combustion, and the safety factor is high
Fourth, the use of styrofoam

1. Door and window installation

Caulking sealing, fixing and bonding between doors, windows and walls.

2. Advertising model

Fabrication of models and sand tables, and repair of display panels.

3. Sound insulation and sound reduction

Filling gaps in the decoration of speech rooms and broadcasting studios can play a role in sound insulation and sound reduction.
4. Gardening

Flower arrangement, gardening and landscaping, light and beautiful.

5. Daily maintenance

Repair of holes, crevices, wall tiles, floor tiles, floors.

6. Waterproof plugging

Repair and plug leaks in water pipes and sewers.
How to use tubular styrofoam

1. Install the tube

When using styrofoam, it is necessary to install a special tube to ensure that the glue can be squeezed smoothly. First, screw the tube into the threaded hole at the top of the drum and tighten the fixing nut to prevent leakage or loss of styrofoam. Make sure the connection of the tube is firm and reliable so that the tube does not slip.

2. Extruded styrofoam

When the tube is installed, you need to adjust the knob first to control the flow rate and flow of the glue. Place the tube 2-3 cm above the material to be bonded and gently press down on the pressure lever to squeeze out the styrofoam juice. When using, it is necessary to ensure that the force is balanced, stable and soft, and avoid glue loss or clogging.

3. Maintain the tube

After use, clean the glue immediately. Use a soft cloth to wipe the surface of the tube, clean dirt and residual glue, and scrub the inside of the tube with a brush to prevent clogging and affecting the next use. At the same time, it is necessary to check whether the condition of the tube is normal, and if it is damaged or aged, it should be replaced in time.

7. Precautions

1. Precautions for storage

The normal use temperature of styrofoam tank is +5~+40°C, and the optimal use temperature is +18~+25°C. In the case of low temperature, it is recommended to place this product at a constant temperature of +25~+30° for 30 minutes before using it to ensure its best performance. The temperature resistance range of cured foam is -35°C~+80C.
2. Precautions for use

(1) Styrofoam is a moisture-curing foam, which should be sprayed on a humid surface when used, the greater the humidity, the faster the curing. Uncured foam can be cleaned with a cleaning agent, and the cured foam should be removed by mechanical methods (sanding or cutting), and after the spray gun is used, clean it with a special cleaning agent.

(2) When replacing the tank, shake the new tank well (shake it at least 20 times) to remove the empty tank, and quickly replace the new tank to prevent the gun connection from curing.

(3) The flow control valve and trigger of the spray gun can control the size of the foam flow, and the flow valve will be closed in a clockwise direction when the spray stops.
3. Safety precautions

(1) Uncured foam is sticky to skin and clothing, so do not touch it.

(2) Do not go near fire sources and expose to the sun.

(3) The storage environment needs to be kept dry, not upside down or flat.

(4) Pay attention to the expiration date.

(5) Do not litter empty cans after use, especially styrofoam cans that have been partially used but have not been used up.

(6) Construction personnel should wear work gloves, work clothes and goggles during construction, and do not smoke at the same time
